Quetzal Excursions offer you a crazy and family adventure with Buggy and 4 wheels…
Departure from Bayahibe aboard a safari truck towards the ranch located about fifteen minutes away.
Arrival at the ranch where you will receive a warm welcome: all the details and safety protocols of the excursion will be explained to you, then you will be directed to your respective buggies to start driving on the sugar cane trails …
1st stop the « weighing », important place where the sugar cane cutters take their cut of the day so that it can be transported to the manufacture in La Romana!
You will also have the chance to taste pure sugar cane juice!!
Set off again aboard your racing cars towards the Batey, these typical villages where the sugar cane cutters live.
For those who wish to make a donation to the children, we can stop to the village…
School material, clothes, beauty products, sweets… will delight children.
We will make a stop halfway to change machines and leave with the quads!
Let’s go the famous Chavon River, surrounded by spectacular vegetation, where you can enjoy its warm waters while swimming!
After swimming we will go to visit a dominican house, on the edge of the river, to taste all types of local products: cassava, plantain and seasonal fruits…
At the end of the afternoon, it will be time to return our cars…but be careful, the day does not end there!
We will leave on board the safari truck towards another place on the Chavon River…
here our river boat will be waiting for us, for a navigation on the River while having a drink!
You will admire the beauty of the vegetation and for the bravest you can practice diving like Tarzan, hanging from a vine!
At nightfall, we will enjoy a 100% Dominican dinner while navigating on the river!
A generous buffet will be offered to you including: plantains, shrimps, rice, chicken, cassava…
After this good meal, your guide will help you with digestion by teaching you local dances such as Bachata, merengue…
9 p.m., it will be time to get back on board the safari truck and drop you off at your respective hotels

A taxi will come to pick you just in front of your hotel (hotel pickups should start approximately 45 minutes before that time, depending on hotel location)
Time of return to the hotel: 9.30pm

Be careful, to drive buggys and 4 wheels you must have a driver’s license.
