Description

Come with us to discover the area of Boca de Yuma, a fishing village located on the Caribbean coast of the Dominican Republic and only at few hundred meters from the National Park of the East, the second largest in the country!

The village is on the top of cliff and offers a breathtaking view !!

We will start the day with the visit to a coffee factory and a cigar factory, where the manufacturing process will be explained to you…

Then let’s drive towards Boca de Yuma, with a stop to the house of Ponce de Leon, an explorer of the sixteenth century, who ruled the province for several years before going to conquer Puerto Rico.

For lunch we will go to a restaurant with breathtaking views of the Caribbean and a sinkhole … a reason to drink at your visit of the day and enjoy local specialties (seafood, fish …)

After lunch, we will then having a ride on the Yuma River where you can see the Cofresi cave, named Pedro Cifuentes but better known as Robinson Crusoe, who discovered the village in the 19th century.

We will then go to the back village of Boca de Yuma, only accessible by boat, to meet the locals people, discover the fruit trees and the way of life of the people.

It will then be time to head back, but don’t worry, the day is not over yet!
We will stop along the way in the sugar cane fields…your guide will explain everything about the cutting and processing of the cane

Last stop in a typical agricultural village where you will have a city tour, meet with the local people and take a drink dancing on Latin rhythms…
