A first exotic stop in the middle of the fields where you can taste sugar cane while listening to your guide tell you about the history and working conditions of the cane cutters.
You will then go to meet the cane cutters and their families, in the villages called Batey …
Then direction the city of Higuey, with a stop on the way at a cigar factory, enough to taste some products and discover the Dominican know-how !! The morning ends with a visit to the Higuey market, its stalls and its typical smells!
For lunch you will eat at the Indio restaurant, a very unusual place in the middle of the Dominican countryside !!
On the menu Manioc, rice, plantain… and the famous river schrimp !!!
After the meal you will board a boat on the Chavon River.
Let’s go for a walk on the river where you will learn local dances (Bachata, merengue …)
For the courageous one, you can practice Tarzan diving hanging from a vines …
After this beautiful ride on the river, the truck will be waiting for you to take you back to your hotel in the Bayahibe area!
