Description
We board the Quetzal in the morning around 8.30, and then sail for an hour and a half to Catuano, where snorkelers will be able to observe a wide range of tropical fishes which have made home in the remaining of an old pier their home.
The snorkeling session is accompanied by our guide Quetzal, certified diving instructor!
Your guide will be there to show you the different species of fish but also to ensure your safety
Once there and for the rest of the morning, we’ll enjoy one of the most gorgeous, turquoise-water, white-sand beach of Dominican Republic.
Relaxation, walk on the beach, swimming or take a drink… we will adapt to your rhythm
After 1 hour and a half to the beach, we will go back to the boat because lunch will be served while while sailing to the natural pool
Natural swimming pool of Las Palmillas, is a magical secluded place with the clearest of waters.
The highlights of this spot are the giant starfishes. Drinks and refreshments will be served in the water before a smooth sail back to Bayahibe along the coast.

We had the best day of our vacation with them. Bernard, Fabrizio, Sarah, and the crew did a great job to make sure everything went perfectly. The beach was as beautiful as promised, the lunch was delicious, and the boat was well maintained and comfortable. You might find a cheaper price with other boats, but the Quetzal experience is well worth the extra. More personal attention, and way more comfortable surroundings.

Absolutely amazing trip to Saona Island with lunch and drinks! The catamaran is huge, clean and beautiful. The captain Bernard is very professional, knowledgeable and friendly, so as his crew. We were on a small group tour to Saona Island, which we booked through Viator. This tour was very well organized, very friendly and fun atmosphere.
I would defiantly repeat this tour again, as soon as I have a chance. By the way it was four of us 🙂 2 adults and 2 two teenagers and everyone had fun.

A perfect day, this was the best way to explore the Caribbean. Our 4 children range in age from 6-14 and they all enjoyed this wonderful adventure too. The welcoming & accommodating crew made it easy for us to relax & take in the beautiful scenery, provided plenty of information about the region & environment and even sang “happy birthday” to our son who turned 12 that day. We booked this excursion to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. Immediately after booking the ever-friendly Sarah got in touch to finalise the arrangements. In meeting her, Captain Bernard and the rest of the crew, we were put at ease, made to feel very welcome, and given the best experience of our stay in the Dominican.
We very much enjoyed the sailing, the snorkelling, the island, and the starfish! Everything was perfect- even making sure we were greeted with the transport home, staying with us until we were safely in the taxi.
This is a great day out, the catamaran is beautiful and the crew are faultless. Thank you so much for a fantastic day out- highly recommended!
