Afterwards we will sail to the other side of the island, to the “Aquarium” where you will enjoy a lovely meal on board of the catamaran.

    Discovered in 1494 by Christopher Columbus, Catalina Island has been part of the East National Park since 1975. Covering only 10 km², this small island is a marvel with its white sandy beaches and rich coral and fish reefs. A few kilometers from the coast of La Romana, is the paradise for fans of free snorkeling with fins, mask and snorkel.

    Board at 9 am on to the Quetzal and sail for an hour to the island of Catalina. You will arrive around 10am, where you will be able to snorkel “The Wall”, you’ll admire beautiful corals. Afterwards we will sail to the other side of the island, to the “Aquarium” where you will enjoy a lovely meal on board of the catamaran.

    The snorkeling session is accompanied by our Quetzal guide, a certified diving instructor!
    Your guide will be there to show you the different species of fish but also to ensure your safety

    After lunch you will have time to relax on the beach of Catalina, snorkel and see loads of different kinds of fishes. We will leave around 3 pm to sail back towards Bayahibe.

    On our way back we will take our time and cruise along the coast of Casa del Campo, where you’ll get explanations from our national guide. We’ll end the day by a cruise up the river Chavon, famously known for its beautiful jungle scenery used in many movies!

      Parfait mixe entre snorkeling et détente. Personnellement, le deuxième spot de snorkeling m’a plus plu mais c’est juste mon avis. Pour le reste, journée géniale. Merci tout l’équipe du Quetzal !!!!

      Can’t say enough about this one day excursion with Quetzal crew and captain we managed to have an amazing time with them. We had 14 people, 4 teenagers and the rest adults. The crew took us to the greatest swimming holes, served an amazing lunch and overall where professional, nice and just overall perfect. On every trip we rent a boat for the day and by far this has been the most professional crew, clean and great boat and a great captain. A must do if you are in Dominican Republic. We stayed at club med and they arranged everything, but either way I would hire this crew and boat in a heart beat.

      Merci à toute l’équipe pour la journée Cata à Catalina et le “ti punch” de Sarah (costaud ;-)) j’ai aimé la balade sur le fleuve. Dommage que le vent ne nous ai pas permis de hisser les voiles… Merci à Fabrisio pour le snocling et les étoiles de mer. Merci au captain Bernard et peut être à bientôt

      Nous avons passé une excellente journée à bord du Quetzal. L équipage est fort sympathique, avec un capitaine chef barbecue au top !! Les sorties snorkling étaient bonnes. La navigation reposante. De beaux souvenirs en famille !!

      This was one of our best tours. The catamarran, the crew was great, they were dancing with the tourist, got everyone involved, which made for a wonderful tour. We made a stop, whoever wanted to go into the water and take pics, took the kids, which they all enjoyed. The island was great, we had a buffet luncheon, the food was very tasty. Full day tour, good fun.

      There is no need to look for any other snorkeling excursion or catamaran tour! We were a group of 23 and had an AMAZING day with Bernard, Sarah, Fabrizio, Morgan, and crew! The snorkeling was AMAZING, the water was the bluest of blue, calm and so clear! Everyone was SO friendly and knowledgeable!Lunch on the boat was delicious and made us feel right at home! Absolutely by far, THE BEST day on the ocean!!! Thank you for taking such great care of us!!! AMAZING!
